Goals are essential for your success. Goals set the direction and determine where you go. If you focus on a goal you continue to move forward, towards it. This is why goal setting is so important, it can stop you from feeling adrift in the world or having a feeling that you're going around in circles.
Successful business people, athletes, coaches... all set both long and short term goals to stay focused, to organize time and to organize resources. This is why you really need goals. But remember, setting goals is the easy part. The hard part is enduring the process to reach the goal. For example, if you are an entrepreneur and your goal is to build a million dollar business, the hard part is setting up a system of sales and marketing to help you reach your main goal.
